Background
Dimitrios is a Professor in the Department of Industrial Management & Technology at the University of Piraeus. He holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rochester, USA, and a Diploma from NTUA. As a lead consultant and academic, he has organized over 120 targeted seminars for listed companies on PM frameworks, PMO development, and Risk Management. He has also coordinated more than 25 R&D national and international projects with total funding exceeding €26M.
Professional Experience
HELLENiQ ENERGY (Hellenic Petroleum) — Main contractor for the Project Management of all refinery turnaround projects across 3 refineries for over 19 years (2007 to today). .
Refinery Infrastructure — Lead PM contractor for all refinery tank maintenance projects since 2015, overseeing more than 80 distinct tanks with a total budget exceeding €65M.
HEDNO (ΔΕΔΔΗΕ) — Primary external consultant for Warehouse redesign and re organization. Duties include project planning, inventory management, forecasting, and detailed spatial requirements analysis.
PMO Development — Key consultant and certified BIC University trainer for the implementation of Project Management Offices (PMO) and Change Management methodologies across listed Greek firms.
Digital Transformation — Lead Developer of the E Learning platform for Ship Management at a big College and developer of professional E learning programs focused on Project Management.
